I am an architectural researcher and educator, teaching courses in the design, history, and theory of buildings, landscapes, and cities. My current research centers on water, technology, infrastructure, and competing ideas of health, accessibility, and balance. Past work in construction management, mental health counseling, and video game design contribute to my focus on the ways evolving technologies shape both our imaginations and our lived environment.
Contemporary challenges increase the need for creative, ethical architectural design that prioritizes communities and ecologies. As director of Merrimack’s Architecture Program, I support students in understanding their work in terms that are social, environmental, technological, material, and imaginative.
