During the Fall semester’s production of The Wolves, Josh was responsible for the technical elements designed by Scenic Designer Rachel Rose-Burke. The set included a collection of “shards,” which were different shapes wrapped in the same turf as the stage and then hung above it to extend the space of the stage creating more distance. He took the pieces Rose-Burke designed, broke them down into construction drawings, estimated the lumber needed to build them, and estimated the time needed to assemble them. He was responsible for organizing and leading a student team to build and install the set, which included hanging the pieces above the stage. He did all this in preparation for his projected future career as a Technical Director in an educational setting. He has spent his undergraduate time at Merrimack College building his knowledge of technical theater both at school and at professional theatres.
