Sue Susman, MEd, BSN, RN, is a dedicated professional currently engaged in a full-time pursuit of her second master’s degree in the Master of Science in Data Science program at Merrimack College. With a diverse background that encompasses military service and extensive experience as a Registered Nurse, Sue brings a unique perspective to her studies. Having served in the US Navy, Sue has demonstrated exceptional dedication, discipline and a strong work ethic. Her previous role as a Neonatal ICU nurse allowed her to develop valuable skills in critical care and patient advocacy. Subsequently, she transitioned into the field of education, becoming a Middle School Computer Science Teacher. This transition showcased Sue’s adaptability and passion for empowering others through knowledge and technology. Sue’s commitment to academic excellence is evident in her previous accomplishments. She successfully completed a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Lesley University in 2020, a significant achievement during the challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. Motivated by her thirst for knowledge and her desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of data science, Sue made the decision to pursue a second master’s degree at Merrimack College. In addition to her studies, Sue actively contributes to the academic community as a peer tutor in the Data Science program. Her dedication to helping fellow students succeed in their educational endeavors is a testament to her passion for collaboration and fostering a supportive learning environment. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sue embraces a well-rounded lifestyle. She enjoys engaging in diverse hobbies such as cooking, traveling, crocheting and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her cherished feline companion, Tiger, also brings joy to her life.
