Exercise Science & Psychology Background Help Senior Soar

Madison is a current senior studying in the rehabilitation sciences program at Merrimack College who is looking to work in healthcare. Madison has held an internship with Harmeling Physical Therapy as a rehabilitation aid. During her internship, Madison experienced “assisting physical therapist’s with patient care such as guiding the patient through specific exercises for their injury, providing hot and cold packs as well as electrical muscle stimulation, ice massages and whirlpool.”

Sanborn looks to work in healthcare after graduation. “I plan on integrating my experiences into graduate school, as well as a future health care professional. I strongly believe in being a team player as well as helping people in need with compassion and care.”

I chose Merrimack because of the diverse health science programs they have to offer, as well as their tight-knit community.”

Madison is appreciative of the relationships she has built with Merrimack’s faculty. “Andy Cannon has taught me that it is okay to be wrong, we are still learning to become health professionals each and every day. I have felt very supported by the faculty and staff members of the School of Health Sciences. There are so many resources they have to offer to students whether it is building your resume, creating a cover letter and finding an internship.”
