Internship Experience - Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus
In this role, I basically take on the role of a primary nurse while under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse who is my preceptor. I will doing this until I gain about 130 hours and 16 hours of interdisciplinary experience. However, prior to having this preceptorship, my previous semesters have had clinical experiences based on the specialty class I was taking.
Post-Grad Plans
I feel that Merrimack has supported me by giving me a great sense of community especially because of my involvements with clubs on campus and being apart of the Pioneer Program. I have also felt a lot of support in terms of networking and always having someone in my corner to help me with my future career as a registered nurse.
“As a nursing student we don’t really have “interships”, we have preceptorships. I am currently right now doing my preceptorship at Lowell General Saints Campus as a student nurse.”
