“From my first recruiting visit to Merrimack, I fell in love with the campus and the people. Freshman year, my football teammates and I were matched with a Team IMPACT player and he was just an absolute joy and a pleasure to have around. He helped all of us grow as student athletes and individuals.
That was when I learned the importance of philanthropy and giving back. And that was when I realized I`m here at Merrimack, not just to play football, but to give back to the greater good.
Wanting to give back as much as I could was one of the biggest motivators for me to run the Boston Marathon. Last year, two of my friends ran for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund. I knew I wanted to run for a fund that was close to my heart and I thought there would be no better way to give respect and show my gratitude for our local firefighters, their sacrifice and everything they do than to run 26.2 miles for them."

Our campus community joins the faithful worldwide in mourning the death of Pope Francis. His pontificate embodied the words of St. Augustine, “God does not demand much of you. He asks back what he gave you, and from him take what is enough for you.” Let us pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis.
