Jail Education Project
The Jail Education Project at Merrimack College brings higher education to people incarcerated in our local county jails.
Teaching Requirements
- Full-time faculty:Â You are eligible to teach this course as an overload, with the approval of your Dean.
- Part-time faculty:Â You must be able to teach this course as part of your two-course-per-semester maximum load.
- Background checks: You must pass a background check.
Curriculum
Courses follow a condensed, eight-week schedule and cover the same curriculum as on-campus courses. Courses should be at the introductory level and/or cover a general education requirement.Â
