The Bridge Program
With the support of the Rapoport Foundation, the Jail Education Project is expanding to offer after-incarceration coursework and support called The Bridge Program.
Coming Summer 2021
In the summer of 2021, we are piloting a program that aims to bridge the gap between education during incarceration and the pursuit of a degree. In partnership with the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, we are teaching two Merrimack courses for formerly incarcerated students at the Lowell Community Counseling Center.
In addition, career and educational counselors will be available to help navigate the application and admissions process with students interested in enrolling in a degree program.
