The Mucci Capital Markets Lab

The Mucci Capital Markets Lab

The Mucci Capital Markets Lab, a center of innovation for advanced financial learning and education within the Girard School of Business, was established in 2014 through a generous gift from Trustee Paul Mucci and his wife Joyce Mucci P’07. They envisioned the differentiation such a resource would give Merrimack in recruiting new students and then preparing them for the future.

The Lab simulates a professional trading floor backed by Bloomberg, Morningstar and Capital IQ technologies. Students develop knowledge about investments and global markets through hands-on experience that prepares them for competitive internships as well as career and graduate school opportunities. The Lab draws students together to build these competencies and collaborate on the Investment Fund and new Fixed Income Fund.

Today, the Lab is expanding its outreach to more diverse Merrimack populations including students not necessarily a part of the Girard School. As Managing Director of the Mucci Capital Markets Lab Mary Papazian states, “The Lab is for everyone because everyone needs to know how to manage their money.”
