Research Summary

Examining how education can enhance and improve individuals social, emotional and financial wellbeing is a long time interest. Past research includes multiple DOL grant evaluations looking at short term training and participant outcomes. Connecting that to educational pathways developed through early college or career specific pathways is another angle of interest. Past research looked at industry driven career pathways in health and health sciences impacting inner city youth in Philadelphia, college preparatory programs that start in middle school through College Crusader’s, and Massachusetts based early college initiatives partnering with urban districts. These interests dovetail nicely with current research on the impact that school based counselors can have on the wellbeing and future success of students.
