Instructional Professor, Computer and Data Sciences
Dr. Jhansi’s work focuses on the design of hash functions in the domain of chaos-based cryptography. Her main contribution is in designing hash functions, PRBGs, and symmetric encryption schemes, keeping the design simple and transparent, and to achieve the twin goals of, (a) reducing the computational complexity and (b) being amenable to cryptanalysis.
She also has expertise in the areas of machine learning, big data analytics, and algorithms. She worked on Face mask detection using MobileNetV2 and transfer learning; predicting mental illness using machine learning classification algorithms; IPL auction player price prediction using machine learning regression algorithms; and using face recognition for attendance marking. As part of the industry-institute interaction, she collaborated with other faculty and worked on the project from Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd to determine the risk associated with a code change in a software-using machine learning techniques.
