Melissa Nemon, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education & Social Policy at Merrimack College. Dr. Nemon is the owner and founder of a woman-owned community-based research and services firm in operation since 2005. Her work is community focused and she studies potential solutions to social issues and injustices through community-based research and practice. She has worked with local communities; state and federal agencies; and a variety of nonprofit/NGO and for-profit organizations. Although she started teaching in the Nonprofit Management and Community Engagement Program at Merrimack College in 2015, Dr. Nemon has been teaching undergraduate and graduate academic classes since 2008, she has published several academic and research papers, and she speaks at conferences and facilitates various community workshops across the US.
