Strong Sense of Community Draws Grad Back to Merrimack for MS in Nutrition

Meghan Hawley, Double Warrior who earned her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science before enrolling in Merrimack’s M.S. Nutrition and Human Performance program, says the strong sense of community at Merrimack was a big part of what drew her back. “Merrimack has amazing resources for students and the professors are passionate, knowledgeable and kind,” she states. “I truly love the Merrimack atmosphere.”

“I believe that there are very few other schools that will provide as many resources to graduate students as Merrimack does. There really is nothing like the Merrimack community and graduate students are included fully.”

After completing her undergraduate internship with Ellen Byron, RD, Meghan now works with her private practice in nutrition as an Assistant Office Administrator. Meghan believes her master’s degree will help her achieve her goals of becoming a registered dietitian Nutritionist in a hospital setting, as well as opening a private practice for counseling. Upon graduation from the Nutrition and Human Performance program Meghan has passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam.
