“My journey has intertwined with the Honors program faculty. The Honors faculty has played a huge role which has helped me excel in this program. When I was nine years old, I started fundraising for Boston Children’s Hospital. I started a fundraiser called “Mia’s Lemonade Stand” where I held a lemonade stand out front of my house and sold lemonade. All the money made was donated directly to Boston Childrens Hosputal. I continued this fundraiser over the next 11 years and raised over $60,000. When I left for college I was unsure if I would be able to continue this fundraiser, but with the support of the Honors Program I was able to continue the fundraiser through the Honors Student Council. I truly appreciate everything the Honors Program has helped me with thus far.”
