One-Step Pathway, Human Performance Focus of Nutrition Master's Program a Perfect Fit for Career Ambitions

A recent graduate of the M.S. Nutrition and Human Performance program, Sydney Morgan attests that the skillset she gained from the master’s program will prepare her to hit the ground running when she starts her professional career.

After finishing her bachelor’s in Nutritional Science, Sydney was drawn to the unique one-step program offered by Merrimack’s M.S. in Nutrition and Human Performance. “When I was searching for graduate schools, I noticed Merrimack was also the only human performance-focused program in the area that incorporated the internship (or fieldwork hours) necessary to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.”

“Merrimack provides an incredible graduate experience through practical education in and out of the classroom. A degree from Merrimack will leave you feeling ready and confident to enter the workforce and achieve your career goals.”

Sydney aspires to be a performance dietitian working with the military, first responders and law enforcement officers. She explains, “This is a unique population considering the high demand for their occupations and their increased risk for poor health outcomes. My master’s degree will give me a step up in this field because of the human performance focus in the program. This program was the perfect fit for me.” Upon graduation from the Nutrition and Human Performance program Sydney has passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam.
