Tim Leahy
Tim Leahy had a distinguished career in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving as an officer for 20 years before retiring in 1999. Transitioning to the financial industry, he spent the last 24 years with New York Life and Eagle Strategies as a Certified Financial Planner.
Despite his achievements in both the military and finance, Tim felt a calling towards spiritual direction and decided to pursue a Spiritual Direction Certificate at Merrimack College. Tim chose Merrimack for his certificate program because of the program’s reputation and its exceptional program director, Dr. Kelley.
While exploring his path in the spiritual direction field, Tim plans to establish a sole proprietorship business as a Spiritual Director or be involved in hospice and retreat work. Additionally, he aims to pursue his M.A. in Spiritual Direction at Merrimack.
Tim has thoroughly enjoyed his experience at Merrimack College, and feels the program has exceeded his expectations and given life to his “third career.”
