A House to Call One’s Own

Virginia Woolf said that a writer needs a room to call one’s own. At Merrimack, we have a house.

The Writers House at Merrimack, located in the Academic Innovation Center, is the only one of its kind in New England. And, as a multidisciplinary initiative, our team helps bring the curriculum of the college’s schools to life.

You’ll be inspired by award-winning fiction writers, journalists, poets, scholars, filmmakers, engineers, artists and more. You can create and showcase your own writing and publications and participate in literary projects that connect you with the wider community.

We’re a place for the entire academic community to gather — to talk, listen, write, read,  grapple … and dream.
