Why Study Psychology?

Psychology — the study of the human mind and behavior — helps you better understand yourself and the people around you.

This understanding opens many career pathways and often promotes meaningful lifelong learning.

Drawing from biology and health sciences, you’ll learn why people act the way they do, what is considered normal behavior and therapeutic options for behavior outside the norm. You’ll study statistical methods, sharpen your analytical skills, conduct research and gain laboratory experience.
