Check It Off. Get It Done.
MackTasks is your customized list of to-do items that you need to complete before you start classes.
Your MackTasks Checklist lives in your admission portal and will keep you on track for the first day of classes! The list you see in your portal is personalized just for you, so what you see might be different from a friend’s list. Due dates vary depending on the task with dates ranging between November and January for students starting in spring 2026.
After you deposit, watch your email for your Merrimack username and initial password. If you received your Merrimack account information prior to a leave of absence or deferral and cannot log into myMack, contact the IT Help Desk ([email protected], 978-837-3500) for assistance.

Please note: Due dates are subject to change and vary by student.
- Why it’s important: Don’t stress—your math assessment is just a way for us to see where you’re at. Every school teaches math a little differently, and this helps your advisor place you in the right class. It’s online, untimed and usually takes less than an hour. It won’t affect your major or scholarship, and you’re not expected to know everything (we promise)!
- How to complete this MackTask: Login to Canvas with your new Merrimack email address and password, and click on “Math Assessment”. If you have any problems logging in, email [email protected] for assistance.
- Why it’s important: The Academic Interest Form is for freshmen and asks about your interests, hobbies and career aspirations so we can help set you up for success from day one. Your advisor will use your answers—along with your math assessment and major requirements—to build a schedule that fits your goals. You’ll go over it together at Orientation to make sure everything looks good!
- How to complete this MackTask: Login to your admission portal → find the Academic Interest Form MackTask → fill out the form. Please note: Only new first-time freshman are required to complete this MackTask.
- Why it’s important: Adding payers allows your parents and/or family members to view and set up payment plans for e-bills. Access your student Center to opt-in for e-billing!
- How to complete this MackTask: Login to MyMack with your new Merrimack email address and password → Click on “Students” at the top of the screen → Click on “Bill Pay” under Student Services → Click on “Go to Transact Payments” Once you are signed into Cashnet, click on your name located in the left hand corner and then under Payers, click “Send a payer invitation” to share access with additional family members or others who you would like to access your bill. (An email with activation instructions will be sent to the invited participant.)
- Why it’s important: Merrimack requires all new students to complete online health forms and provide documentation of both immunizations and a recent physical exam before classes start.
- How to complete this MackTask: Log in to the Merrimack College Patient Portal with your Merrimack email and password. We recommend filling out the online health history form and TB Questionnaire first. Your physical exam documentation just needs to be within the last 13 months. If you have any questions, contact Hamel Health Center at [email protected] or 978-837-5441.
- Why it’s important: You don’t need to stress about finding a roommate on your own—that’s what the housing questionnaire is for! It’ll ask about your habits, preferences and lifestyle so we can match you with someone compatible. If you already have someone in mind, you can both request each other on the form and our Residence Life team will honor mutual requests!
- How to complete this MackTask: Log into the MyHousing Portal → Go to ‘Forms to Complete’ → Select ‘Mid-Year Housing Interest Form’ → Complete all fields in the form.
- BONUS: If you submit your Mid-Year Housing Interest Form by the end of November, the Office of Residence Life should have your housing assignment ready for you before Christmas.
- Why it’s important: We need your final official transcripts to disburse any aid you’ve been awarded and to determine any credits you may transfer in.
- How to complete this MackTask: In order for final transcripts to be official, they need to come to Merrimack directly from your school(s). Incoming First-year students, reach out to your High School to request they send over the official copy of your final transcript to [email protected]. Incoming Transfer students, reach out to the registrar Office at your school (s) and request your official transcript be sent to [email protected].
- Why it’s important: Merrimack is dedicated to helping you thrive as a student and community member. As part of our commitment to safety and well-being, all incoming students must complete the Alcohol-Wise and Consent & Respect courses offered by 3rd Millennium Classrooms.
- How to Complete this MackTask: Watch for an email from Community Standards with the subject “Merrimack College New Student Required Courses” with your Merrimack account information. These courses are online and free to you. Another way to access these courses is by visiting 3rdmil.com/login. Click “Enroll Now” under “I am a Student” and click “forgot password.” Enter your Merrimack email address and it will send an email for you to create your own password.
- Why it’s important: All undergraduate students enrolled in 9 or more credits are required by Massachusetts State law to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or be covered by a health insurance plan with comparable coverage. To ensure compliance with Massachusetts law, students are automatically billed for the SHIP, unless a waiver form is completed before the deadline. Students must either complete the waiver or enrollment form each year.
- How to complete this MackTask: Start on the Merrimack College Student Health Insurance Plan website to access both the Waiver Form and Enrollment Form. Both forms are on the left side of this website. You will need to enter your birthdate and 6-digit Merrimack ID number to complete either form. To waive the health insurance, you will answer a series of questions and be prompted to upload a photo of your health insurance card for review. Your approved waiver, enrollment, or request for additional information will be emailed to your Merrimack email address.
