Planning

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning (OIEP) helps support data-driven decision making and contributes to the ongoing strategic-planning goals of the College.

The Agenda for the Future (AFF) provides a road map for the next chapter in Merrimack College’s history. The plan embraces our Augustinian Catholic mission while recognizing the challenges the College faces. The OIEP supports the AFF’s three strategic directions of growth, mission and impact by integrating planning and innovation at all levels in a collaborative approach to align institution-wide planning with School- and unit-specific initiatives.

Included in our team’s planning responsibilities is the oversight and coordination with other departments in the evaluation and review processes associated with accreditation. Accreditation is a voluntary, nongovernmental peer-review process by the higher education community that aims to assure academic quality and accountability and to foster continual improvement. An accredited college is one which has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purpose and mission through appropriate education programs and is able to provide reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
