Inaugural Class of Nursing Student Achieves Dream Job

Skyler Bomba, one of the first to graduate from the Inaugural Class of Nursing Students at Merrimack College, is currently working as a PCT at Lowell General Hospital. Skyler reflects on her time at Merrimack, stating how graduating with a BSN has helped her achieve her goal of becoming an ICU RN. Bomba gives special thanks to her nursing professors, who have taught our students to never stop learning. “Being a great nurse requires ongoing learning and acquiring new knowledge as the healthcare field adapts everyday”.

Bomba has accepted her dream job as a Registered Nurse to work at Lowell General Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit starting in August, 2023.

Merrimack just felt like home every time I visited the campus, and it has such a welcoming community.”

Before working as a Patient Care Technician, Skyler served as a Nursing Assistant for the COVID-19 Testing Center at Lawrence General Hospital, and was involved in the Nursing club, Nursing Mentorship Program, Austin Scholar, ADC (Athletics Diversity Committee), and National Society of Leadership and Success.
