Hands on Learning in Health Sciences

Experiential education is a form of active learning where our students engage in hands-on, meaningful work.

Through our countless experiential-education opportunities in the School of Health Sciences and throughout the Merrimack campus, you can become more immersed in your major and more fully engaged in the world around you.

We offer a variety of internships, co-ops and hands-on learning where you will connect your classroom theory and real-world practice.

Active ScienceĀ®

Active ScienceĀ® is an after-school program led by Merrimack faculty that integrates physical activity and academic lessons in science and technology. It is a grassroots initiative created within the YMCA Movement to promote improved physical activity and educational achievement. With a curriculum designed to serve grades K-5, Active Science can accommodate and engage all students in your programs.
