Advising is offered to students at all points in their undergraduate student journey, whether they know exactly what they want to do or they are still undecided.

Freshmen

All freshman students with a business major are assigned to a dedicated freshman advisor. Advisors support their students’ academic needs while outlining for them the requirements of their liberal studies core, Business Administration major core, and selected concentration.

Sophomores With an Undeclared Business Concentration

Students who are uncertain about their area of study after their freshman year are assigned to an undeclared academic advisor. The advisor works with students to explore the different concentrations and academic requirements while cultivating personal interests and skills.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors With a Declared Business Concentration

Once students have selected a concentration, they are assigned a faculty advisor in their area of interest or a related area. The advisor reviews academic requirements and enriches students’ understanding of their specialty throughout their undergraduate studies.

Students With a Business Minor

Students who minor in business are assigned an academic advisor, though they are not required to meet each semester. The advisor is available to meet with students to ensure their academic needs are being met and that they are on track to complete their minor.
