Merit Scholarships

Merrimack College awards merit scholarship to incoming freshman who qualify on the basis of their academic and extracurricular achievements. 

These include special scholarships for selected students who participate in the Massachusetts State Science and Engineering Fair and FIRST Robotics programs.

The School of Engineering and Computational Sciences encourages students to take advantage of diversity resources offered by many professional organizations in science and engineering.

MACHS Scholars Program

Merrimack Achieves Collegiate Holistic Support (MACHS) Scholars is a new program that provides high-achieving low-income students interested in pursuing a STEM degree with academic scholarships.

SMART Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation Scholarships
The SMART Scholarship Program’s goal is to produce the next generation of Department of Defense (DoD) science and technology (S&T) leaders.  

Goldwater Scholarship
For outstanding sophomore and junior students interested in research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.  By nomination only.  Contact the Dean’s Office for more information.    

II-VI Foundation Scholarship
For students pursuing an engineering, mathematics, or science-related degree. 

AFCEA Educational Foundation STEM Majors Scholarships
For full-time students studying STEM or related fields.

AFCEA Educational Foundation STEM Teacher Scholarships
For students actively pursuing a graduate degree or licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects in grades K-12.

Gates Millennium Scholars
Provides outstanding African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic-American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline. 

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
Enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad and gain skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness.

Full financial support to pursue a degree or degrees at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

SAME Scholarship
Provides financial aid for a deserving engineering major. Packets are available from the engineering department in December.

For women pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science.

Womens Transportation Seminar
For women interested in transportation fields (ie. civil engineering or others).  The deadline to apply is in November.
