Order up! Merrimack’s dining and concession options are getting an upgrade thanks to a recent partnership with Sal’s Pizza.

Slices from the national chain will be available for sale at the Duane Stadium and Lawler Rink concession stands during home games starting this fall. Students will also have the opportunity to pick up pizzas at Monica’s Kitchen for a meal swipe.

“We’ve been looking for some local vendors to partner with,” said Leigh Thumith, resident district manager of Sodexo at Merrimack. “Sal’s seems to be the most popular on campus – pizza is always popular on campus. We’re also looking to expand our options at concessions as well so it seemed like a natural fit.”

Sal’s Pizza first opened in Salem, New Hampshire back in 1990. To date, over 40 locations have opened nation-wide.

Thumith said Sodexo is planning to host a few pizza pop-up shops at Sparky’s in the coming months to celebrate the new partnership.

“Over the next five years, we also have plans to introduce more brands onto campus,” she continued. “It’s all in development right now.”

Also starting in fall, students will be able to purchase bubble tea at Natural’s at The Warrior’s Den, located inside the Sakowich Campus Center.
