Pianist and composer Zach Sprowls is coming to Merrimack to perform in concert on September 18th at 7:30 p.m. in the Rogers Center.

Zach Sprowls’ All Beginnings Are Hard is an instrumental song telling of what it’s like to start over. Sprowls uses elements of neoclassical minimalism, melody, aching harmony, and electronic synthesis to translate his own life experiences into a deeply-felt journey for listeners. Sprowls’ music has been featured on KEXP radio (Seattle, Washington) and performed by members of the US Army Strings and The National Symphony Orchestra.

Zach Sprowls is a pianist and composer based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. After obtaining a degree in music, he worked for several years as a church music director, music teacher, and freelancer at various places around the United States. In 2018, he moved back to his home city of Scranton where he currently works as a pianist and composer for film, theater, church, and music streaming. In addition to music, he also writes regularly on Substack about art and creativity. To hear some of Sprowls’ Music, visit his music page.
