Double Warrior Seeks Future In Athletic Training
“I knew I would be able to get the most out of Merrimack’s clinical sites and internships considering their connections with some of the best sports teams around!” Kaitlyn is a recent graduate of Merrimack College, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2023 in Exercise Science. Currently, Seeley is attending Merrimack College’s Athletic Training Master’s Program, seeking to eventually become an Athletic Director in the future.
“Getting my bachelor’s degree from Merrimack has allowed me to connect with other Merrimack alumni whom I now refer to as my mentors and professional role models!” Merrimack’s tight-knit community extends past the College’s campus – our alumni are actively involved after graduation, and some seek to mentor our current undergraduate students.
“I chose to attend Merrimack for Athletic Training and Sports Management specifically because of their close affiliations with well-known organizations in the Boston area!”
Kaitlyn is an active student on campus. She has acted as: a staff member at the fitness and recreation center, athletic operations staff, honors program athletics committee chair on student council, honors ambassador coordinator, honors peer mentor, president of the sports management club, president of women’s club lacrosse, relay for life, athletic training club, best buddies, love your melon, WMCK radio, Fenway sports management university.
“The most important lesson a faculty member at Merrimack taught me was to solely focus on myself. Especially as a female in two male-dominated careers that are often competitive – rather than focusing on what everyone else is doing, I need to focus on myself and that is where true growth will come from.”
