Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)
All members of the Merrimack College community must complete research ethics and compliance training prior to engaging in research with human subjects. CITI training is available for all College faculty, staff, and students interested in becoming certified.
Certification Requirements
Starting in September 2018, the College began accepting CITI certification only. Either the Social & Behavioral Research or the Biomedical Research modules can be completed.
Researchers active in human subjects research must complete the certification every three years.
All Institutional Review Board (IRB) members are required to renew their certification every year.

Registering on CITI
First-time uses should click on “register” at the top right of the CITI website and follow the subsequent steps to register, using Merrimack College as your organization and your Merrimack College email address as your primary email.Â
