RESEARCH & CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENT CONFERENCE

About the Research & Creative Achievement Conference

Sponsored by the Office of the Provost, Merrimack’s annual Research & Creative Achievement Conference (RCAC) celebrates faculty, graduate and undergraduate research and creative work.

2022 Research and Creative Achievement Conference Recap

Thank you, participants, for another successful conference this year! On May 5, the 2022 Research and Creative Achievement Conference brought the Merrimack community together in celebration of campus-wide academic achievement. The day highlighted 230 graduate and undergraduate student presentations representing all five schools. Nearly 400 students presented in total, with many of the presentations being partner, group and team collaborations. Faculty also engaged student participation in a variety of ways throughout the event, including Dr. Christine Shaw, who encouraged formative feedback from visitors using quick QR codes on the posters, and Dr. Jimmy Franco, who offered participation credit to his students by playing “Presentation Bingo.”

In addition to engaging and empowering students inside and outside the classroom, faculty offered Spark Talks throughout the day on their own research via a virtual format. Midday, faculty and community gathered for Tolle Lege, the tradition of honoring the published works of faculty and staff from the previous year.

INNOVATIVE THINKING AND SCHOLARSHIP
