We are excited to welcome you to Merrimack’s campus for our single-day Orientation session! We have a full calendar of activities planned for you and your family.
We are offering two choices for June single-day, in-person sessions:
Please review the calendar below to guide you through the daily sessions where you’ll acclimate to campus, meet your fellow Warriors and have some fun. Please note that some of these sessions are done in rotations, so the group you are in will impact the exact timing of the morning and afternoon sessions.

8-9 a.m. | Check-In - Rogers Center for the Arts Lobby Receive your nametag and swag bag, and review MackTasks. Orientation Leaders and staff are here to answer any questions! |
9-9:30 a.m. | Welcome - Rogers Center for the Arts Orientation kicks off with a welcome from College leadership and our Orientation Leader staff! Become immersed in the Merrimack culture and community and learn why every day is a great day to be a Warrior! |
9:40-10:20 a.m. | What does it mean to be a Warrior?- Crowe 107 This session will assist you in exploring who you are and the Merrimack College community you will be joining. |
10:30-11:10 a.m. | Wellness Session - Crowe 127 This session will have you look at all of the ways wellness impacts you and start the conversation on how you can care for yourself now and when you arrive at Merrimack. |
11:20 a.m.-12 p.m. | Mission and Merrimack - McQuade Auditorium Join the Office of Mission and Ministry to hear more about insight into the values upon which Merrimack was founded as expressed in the Mission and Vision Statement of the College, and the pivotal role that it plays on campus every day. |
12-1:45 p.m. | Lunch & Group Time with Orientation Leaders - Various Locations Students will join their Orientation Leaders in small groups and have the opportunity to meet fellow classmates and become better acquainted with Merrimack. |
1-1:30 p.m. | Academic Cohort Meetings Students involved in the following programs will have meetings with their individual program directors. Austin Scholars - North Residential Village Compass Program - Merrimack Club Dining Room Honors Program - Honors Commons, Sakowich Campus Center |
1:45-2:15 p.m. | Academic Preparedness - Rogers Center for the Arts Learn how to read an academic schedule, understand how advising works at Merrimack and get prepared for a successful fall semester. |
2:30-3:15 p.m. | Residence Life Session - McQuade Auditorium Resident students will learn more about the benefits of the Merrimack College residential experience via a live session with members of the Residence Life Staff. Commuter Session - Merrimack Club Dining Room Commuter students will learn the ins and outs of being a commuter via a live session with commuter student support staff and fellow commuters. |
3:30-4:15 p.m. | Academic Breakouts - Crowe Hall Opportunity to meet with staff within your school and understand more of what is like to be your major at Merrimack. |
4:15-5 p.m. | Act It Out - Crowe Hall Orientation leaders will role play various scenarios with their groups to work on communication skills, understanding differences amongst people and advocating for themselves. |
