Over $66K Raised for The Warrior Fund at 37th President’s Cup Golf Tournament

Clouds and drizzle didn't dampen the success of the 37th President's Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, August 13, where over 140 golfers hit the links at Vesper Country Club in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts to support our student-athletes.

This popular event – which sold-out three weeks in advance – raised more than $66,000 for The Warrior Fund, which provides the essential financial support that enables our nearly 600 student-athletes to pursue excellence on and off the field.

Participants included members of Merrimack’s Board of Trustees, the College Leadership Council, sponsors, alumni, friends, and Merrimack faculty and staff.

“It was a wonderful day!  I am tremendously grateful to those who joined us and for the generous support that has helped fuel the success of Merrimack Athletics!” said Merrimack’s Athletic Director Jeremy Gibson.

Tournament sponsors included: Pimentel Construction, Demoulas Foundation and Market Basket, Brown and Brown Metro, Inc., Cedar’s Foods, Inc., People’s United Bank, Quirk Construction, Northern Trust, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., Cafua Management Co LLC, Delta Dental of Massachusetts, George D. Behrakis, TIAA, DSK Dewing Schmid Kearns, Trident Project Advantage Group, Wakefield Investments, Arrowhead Athletics, Black Diamond Networks, Christian Party Rental, Coach Company, Fuddruckers, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Merrimack College Bookstore, Shaheen, Pallone & Associates, New England Copy Specialists, and Bake ‘n Joy Foods.
