Say ‘I Do’ at Merrimack

The Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher has been the setting for many campus weddings over the years.  If you would like to celebrate your wedding at the church, please review the requirements below.

We are NOT currently accepting wedding reservations for the Collegiate Church as an extensive renovation of the chuch is planned over the next 18 months.

We anticipate the renovations to be completed in Spring 2021.

However, the Chapel of Our Mother of Good Counsel, which is located on the second floor of Austin Hall and has a seating capacity of 100 people would be available for a wedding.  Austin Hall is handicap accessible.

Qualifications

Either the bride or groom must be a current student or graduate of Merrimack College. In addition, either the bride or groom must be a practicing Catholic.

Officiants

The wedding couple is responsible for securing a presider for the wedding liturgy. You are encouraged to invite a favorite priest or deacon to officiate at the service. Availability of Augustinian friars from the college is limited.

Fees

A fee is assessed for use of the church, a sacristan, paperwork / recording and a music workshop. The fee can be discussed with campus ministry at the time you book your wedding.

Reservations

You may reserve the church by calling the Grace J. Palmisano Center for Campus Ministry at 978-837-5450 at least six months prior to the wedding date. At that time, you may pencil in a date with the office, and the wedding coordinator will contact you to set up an appointment.
