We are excited to welcome you to Merrimack’s campus for our overnight Orientation session! We have a full calendar of activities planned for you and your family.

We are offering two choices for June overnight, in-person sessions:
Please review the calendar below to guide you through the daily sessions where you’ll acclimate to campus, meet your fellow Warriors and have some fun. Please note that some of these sessions are done in rotations, so the group you are in will impact the exact timing of the afternoon sessions on Day 1 and the morning sessions on Day 2.
The June overnight in-person sessions will be held Monday, June 16, through Tuesday, June 17. We have a full schedule of Orientation activities planned for you. You’ll get acclimated to campus, meet your fellow Warriors and have some fun.
Reference the schedule below to guide you through the daily sessions. Make sure you check your Merrimack email for more communication from the Orientation team. It will provide specific instructions regarding coming on to campus, parking, check-in locations, and more.

We will be offering a Decompression Zone activites available throughout the Orientation sessions. This is an opportunity for students to take a break and practice some wellness activities before rejoining the Orientation sessions or groups.

10:30-11 a.m. | Welcome - Rogers Center for the Arts Orientation kicks off with a welcome from College leadership and our Orientation Leader staff! Become immersed in the Merrimack culture and community and learn why every day is a great day to be a Warrior! |
11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. | Lunch & Group Time with Orientation Leaders - Various Locations Students will join their Orientation Leaders in small groups and have the opportunity to meet fellow classmates and become better acquainted with Merrimack. |
1-1:50 p.m. | What does it mean to be a Warrior?- Crowe Hall This session will assist you in exploring who you are and the Merrimack College community you will be joining. |
1:50-2 p.m. | Debrief in Groups |
2-2:50 p.m. | Wellness Session - Crowe Hall This session will have you look at all of the ways wellness impacts you and start the conversation on how you can care for yourself now and when you arrive at Merrimack. |

3-3:50 p.m. | Mission and Merrimack - Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher Join the Office of Mission and Ministry to hear more about insight into the values upon which Merrimack was founded as expressed in the Mission and Vision Statement of the College, and the pivotal role that it plays on campus every day. |
3:50-4 p.m. | Debrief in Groups |
4-4:45 p.m. | Academic Preparedness - Rogers Center for the Arts Learn how to read an academic schedule, understand how advising works at Merrimack and get prepared for a successful fall semester. |
5-7 p.m. | Dinner/Group Time with Orientation Leaders - Sparkys Students will join their Orientation Leaders in small groups and have the opportunity to meet fellow classmates and become better acquainted with Merrimack. They will also go over the schedule for tomorrow. |
7:15-8:15 p.m. | Act It Out - Crowe Hall Orientation leaders will role play various scenarios with their groups to work on communication skills, understanding differences amongst people and advocating for themselves. |
8:30 p.m. | Block Party - St. Clare Court This is the time for students to interact with each other and our Orientation Leaders. There will be various games, activities and food trucks. |

9:15-10:15 a.m. | Academic Breakouts - Crowe Hall Opportunity to meet with staff within your school and understand more of what is like to be your major at Merrimack. |
10:30-11:30 a.m. | Residence Life Session - McQuade Auditorium Resident students will learn more about the benefits of the Merrimack College residential experience via a live session with members of the Residence Life Staff. Commuter Session - Merrimack Club Dining Room Commuter students will learn the ins and outs of being a commuter via a live session with commuter student support staff and fellow commuters. |
11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m | Group Time with Orientation Leaders Students will join their Orientation leaders in small groups and have the opportunity to meet fellow classmates and become better acquainted with Merrimack. Engagement Fair Various campus offices will be showcased to students and families for key engagement opportunities when they return in the fall including student employment. Academic Resource Fair - Crowe Executive Room Opportunity to meet with staff regarding schedule changes or major changes. |
12:30-1:30 p.m. | Academic Cohort Meetings Students involved in the following programs will have meetings with their individual program directors. Austin Scholars - North Residential Village Compass Program - Merrimack Club Dining Room Honors Program - Honors Commons, Sakowich Campus Center |
