During her time at Merrimack, Megan had many experiences that helped shape who she became both on and off campus. She engaged in many social service and volunteer opportunities, which led her to participate in the Augustinian Volunteer program upon graduating. This started her out on a very diverse career path in which she was always able to utilize the skills she learned in her communication and psychology classes.
After the Augustinian Volunteer program, Megan used her Merrimack connections to get a job at Bellesini Academy in Lawrence where she went on to become the Dean of Students. While at Bellesini, Megan had her first son and after six years there she decided to transition to stay home with him.
After being home for a little bit Megan took on a role at Acelleron Maternal Health & Wellness. She used her background to run the marketing and social media side of the business, while also providing support groups for new parents.
Megan and her family now reside in North Andover, so Merrimack is a big part of their community. Currently, Megan is the Mentor Program Specialist for Warriors at Work, a new program designed to connect first-year students with industry alumni related to each student’s career aspirations.

After many years away, Megan is excited to be back on campus have the opportunity to reach out to alumni and share with them all the growth and changes that have happened at Merrimack. “We have so much to be proud of and we have so many ways to give back to our school! I love showing alumni how they can do that” says Megan.
What is the best advice you could give current Merrimack students?
Create, and maintain, the relationships you make with your professors, friends and mentors. These are the people that will help you make connections throughout your professional life.
What is your favorite Merrimack memory?
I have two — my first favorite memory is meeting my husband in my freshman year psychology class. My second was when the Red Sox won their first World Series. I was a Yankee fan from Long Island, NY but you couldn’t help but get caught up in the excitement!
Why are you Merrimack Proud?
I am Merrimack Proud because Merrimack has become family to me! Fr. Jim Wenzel officiated our wedding. Two of my sisters and their husbands graduated from here. Merrimack has been such a big part of my life and I couldn’t be more proud!
