B.S., Health Science, 2024

“I was drawn to the Merrimack’s Health Science and Athletic Training Program because of the class sizes, the style of teaching, and the different technology that enhanced learning. I came from a high school with big class sizes and was drawn to the smaller class sizes at Merrimack, that way my professor actually gets to know me and can build that connection. I am more of a hands on learner and the teaching style is more catered to that. In almost all of my classes in both undergrad and currently grad school, there is a combined lecture/lab.”

“For about the first hour of class, the professor would lecture on a topic and help us understand the basis of it, then we would move to the back of the room and use the anatomage table to look deeper in anatomy on cadavers or go to the sports med lab and use the different modalities. Splitting the class between lecture and then putting it into practice or real life directly after, helped me better understand the material. Merrimack’s Health Science program is more centered towards hands-on learning and using the best technology to enhance our learning experience as students.”

“The first time I toured Merrimack in high school, everything clicked. Merrimack felt like the college I wanted to grow at where no other college did. The community created at Merrimack is so welcoming to everyone and there are so many clubs, organizations, and events to help you find your thing.”

“At Merrimack, I am apart of the Austin Scholars and Ambrose Society where I was able to live with my community, learn, and reflect together on the community service we were doing around the Merrimack Valley. I also am apart of the Athletic Training Club and Relay For Life. My goals post graduation are to sit for and pass my boards exam for Athletic Training and transition into practice as an Athletic Trainer at the high school or collegiate level.”
