Nursing Major An Active Figure On Campus

A current sophomore, Bella has made Merrimack her home since her first time on campus. “I chose to attend Merrimack because of the new nursing program that they offered. I really liked how you started clinical experiences during your first-year because at most schools, you don’t start until later. Lastly, I loved the school spirit of Merrimack and how it is a close-knit Division One school, so my professors all know me personally, but I still get to experience sports like I would at another Division One institution.”

“Merrimack College has great support systems for all students. For nursing specifically, all faculty offices are located together on the second floor of the nursing center. All nursing faculty offices have an open door policy, meaning that you can meet with nursing faculty whenever their door is open. The Warrior one stop is also a super helpful place for any questions about financial aid, parking, registration, on-campus jobs, and more. An important lesson that the faculty has taught me is to not be afraid to ask for help. All of my professors have been so supportive and helpful, and it is really beneficial to meet with them to go over material, complete assignments, or ask questions.”

I like how my required courses are 4 credit courses instead of 3, so that you have a lighter course load while still managing to maintain sixteen credits each semester.”

Bella is an active member of Merrimack College’s student body. Zeta Tau Alpha, Student Government Association, Honors Program, Honors Student Council, Honors Peer Mentors, Student Ambassadors, and the Nursing Club are some of the extracurricular activities she currently is involved in.
