Athletic Training 3+2 Program Prepares Students For Success

Kendall recently joined the Merrimack College community after learning about the Athletic Training 3+2 program. This program is designed as a five year master’s degree program, where within five years, students will not only earn their bachelor of science degree but also a master’s degree in Athletic Training. “Not only does Merrimack have a state-of-the-art athletic training program, there are also unlimited opportunities I could barely wait to explore. Everywhere I looked, there was a friendly face – whether staff or student – ready to help. The feeling of community surrounded me every step of the way and continues to lead me into a bright future.”

“During my time here at Merrimack College, I have been involved in the honors program, the athletic training club, and the health professions club. I am also a part of the wonderful student ambassadors program where I am able to welcome prospective students onto campus and share the love that I hold for Merrimack. Another amazing opportunity that Merrimack has provided me with is being an athletic training aid in our very own division 1 athletic training room. This experience not only provides opportunities for hands-on learning but also the chance to learn through real-life situations.”

After researching and visiting countless schools I found my home the second I stepped foot on Merrimack’s campus.”

“The most important lesson a faculty member has taught me is that academics matter, but at the end of the day, the thing you will never forget is how a person made you feel. After struggling with a slew of medical issues in the second semester of my first-year, the compassion I experienced from my professors was remarkable, but one professor in particular took that compassion to the next level and continued to support me not only academically but also holistically well beyond the semester’s ending. Every time we pass each other on campus we stop to check in and I can not wait to take more courses with this amazing and supportive professor!”
