The Northeast STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Network: Cultivating interest and engagement in STEM education and careers! A collaborative initiative lead by Merrimack College and Salem State University.

STEM Week MassachusettsThe Northeast STEM Network is part of the larger Massachusetts’ Regional STEM Networks that serve as hubs for connecting educators, community leaders and industry partners to further excite and energize students about opportunities in STEM subjects. The networks are managed by the Department of Higher Education under the direction of the STEM Advisory Council and is the lead coordinator for MASS STEM Week in the Northeast region.

Science by Connections is a searchable database that connects teachers to STEM resources across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Administered by the Wade Institute for Science Education, this website provides a resource for field trips, field studies, in-school, and online programs for classrooms as well as professional development opportunities for educators. Teachers can search by grade level, region, program type and content standards for local learning opportunities offered by Massachusetts-based nonprofits and STEM organizations. The site also links to the latest news in STEM education, and provides information on the Massachusetts STEM Networks.

The NE STEM Network Mini Grants are to help support STEM week (October 21-25th) events in your community. The goal is to engage all ages in STEM academic and career experiences. Districts, community agencies, colleges and partnerships are welcome to apply for up to 500.00 to support these efforts. This will close on May 30th.
