Major in Athletic Training
Merrimack College offers a degree pathway that allows students to complete a Master of Science in Athletic Training in combination with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or Health Science in only five years.
The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training requires all professional education in athletic training to be at the master’s level. As a result, Merrimack has transitioned the current Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training to a Master of Science in Athletic Training and will no longer be admitting students to that degree.
First, you will choose your preferred athletic training track: exercise science or health science. This will lead to a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree or a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree. After you complete your bachelor of science, you will continue your studies and earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training.
