Andrea Cohen reads Philip Levine

Merrimack College Writers House Director Andrea Cohen was the featured interview on a recent Internet podcast with “The New Yorker” poetry editor Paul Muldoon during which they discussed the art of poetry and its originality while addressing human experiences that are common to many people.

During her appearance on Muldoon’s prestigious podcast, Cohen read aloud poet Philip Levine’s “The Mercy” as well as her own “Major to Minor.”

“The challenge is always to try to say something in a little bit different way because in the end our experiences are not so very varied,” Cohen said.
