Mary Lavin and Kate Murphy

The Murphy Conference Room will be re-dedicated Oct 11.

Professor Murphy taught Irish literature, Creative Writing, and Shakespeare. Speakers will include Maureen O’Rourke Murphy, international Irish literature scholar, and Bud Jennings, Merrimack graduate, who is a high school teacher and fiction writer.

The library will be accepting the typescript of a discussion between Irish-American author Mary Lavin and a group of Merrimack students conducted in 1967.  Here are some library resources on Mary Lavin.

Concert to Showcase Merrimack College’s New Pipe Organs

The two pipe organs, each with its own rich history, were part of the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher renovations that were completed earlier this year. Four local organists will perform during the special dedication concert on Nov. 20.
