Makayla is an alumni of both Merrimack College’s undergraduate and graduate biology programs. Makayla found that throughout her time here, the Merrimack College community was always a source of welcome. Richard appreciated the faculty/student relationships that was cultivated here, especially the relationship fostered with Dr. Azam Noori. Makayla became Noori’s graduate student research assistant while obtaining her master’s degree.
Throughout both undergraduate and graduate courses, Makayla always felt supported during her time at Merrimack. Makayla felt that the mentorship she received during her educational journey here helped prepare her for a successful career.

Kajal Purohit M’24 and Erin Lincoln ’24 are working this academic year as research assistants on Associate Professor Azam Noori’s National Science Foundation grant to examine the impact of silver and nanomaterials on tomatoes.
