Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

You’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below.

Can Merrimack students live on campus this Spring?

Merrimack is committed to providing a safe residential experience. For additional information, see our Reopening Plan.

Is there a cost difference based on room and board?

Yes. Initial bills typically have the same cost for all resident students. Within a week of receiving a housing assignment, a change in a student’s rate will be reflected on their bill.

Meal plans are included in the cost of room and board and are the same rate for Option 17, Option 13 and Option 7. The difference in plans is the amount of bonus points to be used around campus. All resident students are initially enrolled in Option 13, and students have through the first week of classes to change to Option 7 or Option 13 based on their schedule and habits.

For questions regarding your bill, please contact the bursar’s office.

How do I know if I am in a double, suite, or an apartment?

Questions regarding room type can be directed to reslife@merrimack.edu or 978-837-550.

What if I want to change rooms?

Please contact the Office of Residence Life at reslife@merrimack.edu or 978-837-5507.

What is the residency agreement?

To be eligible to live in college-provided housing, all residential students must sign the residency agreement, which outlines conditions for living on campus.

Does Merrimack guarantee housing for all four years?

Yes, Merrimack guarantees four years of housing. Freshmen are typically housed in Ash Centre, Deegan Hall, Monican Centre, and the Townhouses. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can live in any other Merrimack housing.
